We visited Croydon Plantation today and just wanted to thank our tour guide Alecia - hope that's the correct spelling, for a very interesting and informative tour. The whole trip was well organised and we enjoyed our refreshment breaks along the route and then our lunch. We could not have got there without our driver Garth who managed to make... More

This tour was very educational and provides you insight to how real Jamaicans live. We left resort and picked up our tour guide Winston and were off to the interior of Jamaica. The road was very narrow and bumpy but we made the best of it with our tour guide entertaining us and informing us of various facts about the... More

The plantation was interesting but our tour guide, while knowledgeable, was slow, a bit crass and engaged in some off color jokes. He seemed to drag the tour out forever rather than moving things along.

A very informative guided walk of the grounds and its plants. Alecia described the plants and their uses in Jamaican folk medicine with great care and was a wealth of knowledge on Jamaican culture as well. The tasting stations and the several varieties of pineapple are a highlight!

Do yourself a favor and book this tour if you're planning a trip to Jamaica. We booked through a company called Viator, however, I'm sure there's plenty of other tour companies you can go through. The company itself that was outsourced was JTL. They picked us up at our hotel on time. Keith, was our driver, and he was beyond... More

It certainly takes you thru the real Jamaica to get to Croydon Plantation as its an hour by very bumpy bus ride to get there. The road are really very bad and you see the poverty in Jamaica mile after mile. The plantation itself is wonderful as is the informative tour. You find out about Pineapples, bees, plants, coffee, ending... More

This working plantation was an educational stop. You’ll hear the history of this National Champion plantation and see coffee and many other fruits and spices growing in their natural state. We had tastes of six different varieties of fresh pineapples at one station followed samples of coconut, tangerine, grapefruit and a couple of other unfamiliar fruits at another stop. A... More

We used Jamaica Tours Ltd. to book this tour out of our Rose Hall resort. On the plus side, we had a chance to tour a working fruit & coffee plantation, enjoy delicious samples of exotic fruits, and had a wonderful authentic lunch. As always, the Jamaican people are wonderful hosts. Seeing what life is like for rural Jamaicans on... More
