Bamboo rafting, limestone foot massage, knowledgeable local information. Tremaine shared his love of the river and area with us. We enjoyed the lime on our sugar cane, the citrus leaf, the elephant leaves, and his general goodwill.

The rafting is soo good!!! That’s actually an understatement lol. It’s absolutely incredible, a must see and do activity. Beautiful pictures taken by the guides, entertainment on the Bamboo raft by the guides. We had an incredible guide called Jerome!!!! He delivers a jam packed and entertaining bamboo ride for us. He swam in the river, he jumped up the tree vine and done a few tricks up on the vines. We laughed, we were amazed and in awe of the whole experience. Definitely one to remember, especially thanks to Jerome. He provided an intellectual adventure for us about the country and it’s natural historical beauty! The foot massage is one to die for!! Leaves your legs smooth for weeks, your feet are fully moisturised, no cracks or hard skin, just soo smooth. The foot cleanse also gets your skin smooth and glowing for a very long time. I’m honestly amazed at how the natural product cleanses the skin so thoroughly. You have to do this excursion, it’s beautiful, romantic, peaceful and so memorable.

My wife and I arrived in Montego Bay on a cruise on Wednesday, October 30 and booked this as an excursion. The bus ride from the port to the rafting location was OK. The driver pointed out that the higher up the mountains and the farther you get from town the roads get rougher and he was right but once we reached the end we were escorted to the river to meet our guides. Our guide was Patrick and he was one reason why the raft ride was so relaxing. Patrick was a soft spoken gentleman and he pointed out some of the local points of interest. My wife took part of the limestone foot massage and she said that it was pleasurable and soothing. During the ride, Patrick let us sample fresh coconut and explained how some plants were edible and used for bowls and plates. There was one spot that Patrick tied to a tree and disappeared and I was a little concerned. I have read where the guides on some companies would go into the forest and come back with drinks for everyone and I do not drink so I was preparing myself to say no but instead he came back with fresh flowers for my wife. The true gentleman. There was a spot that Patrick invited us to jump in and swim around if we liked but my wife and I did not come in our swimsuits so we declined. The raft ride and massage take about 45 minutes and it was a little disappointing that the only wildlife we saw was a cow but Patrick pointed out that there was not a lot of wildlife in Jamaica. At the end of the raft ride there is a place to relax and wait on the bus to take us back to the port. I said there was a place to relax except that they were constantly on a pa system telling you to come and sample drinks and that they had food to purchase plus go to the gift shop, that was a bit annoying but kind of expected in Jamaica. Seems like the whole island is a hard sale salesman. The bus ride back to the port will make you want to test your faith. The ride back is more harrowing than the ride to, so just white knuckle enjoy it. You won't get wet so you can wear street clothes if you choose. Don't expect white water rafting because its not. Just a nice slow drift down the river. I would recommend this. Ask for Patrick.

I can say the rafting with our guide Chris Brown was the highlight of our trip. I recommend getting a "one couple" only tour to enjoy the river to the fullest. Be prepared in swimsuits to enjoy the water which is about chest deep. The water is peaceful so going with a large group is not recommended. Be prepared to listen to nature and experience the nature with no need for music and idle chatter. Our experience was peaceful, rejuvenating, and a true spiritual experience of the lovely island of Jamaica. We will go back again.

From the moment my husband and I spotted the Bamboo raft with the jamaica flag and picture of Bob Marley, we knew it had to be ours. We pointed him out and luckily we were able to get it for our ride. Our guide introduced himself as CJ and he was very pleasant and informative. He took his time, answered our questions and seemed genuinely cordial. He gave us limestone massages, grabbed us a coconut, let us jump into the water and most of all he picked and arranged some flowers for my birthday. He also cut some fresh fruit for us. We had a great time and definitely recommend this excursion; especially CJ.
