Beaches, restaurants, shops, vendors and whatever else you need. You can find on the Hip Strip. You may get haggled abit as everyone wants you to check their shop. Take it all in stride and just look for what it is you want.

My husband and I couldn't walk 20meters without being hassled for ganja, powder, hair being braided, shopping...oh my gosh! We would be polite and say no thank you, but kept being pushed.."taxi? Docta Feel Good? Wantcha hair braided my lady? You party?" Sheesh!! Be prepared to be a bit curt and rude if walking through otherwise they will jump all... More

Shopping for family and friends was easier and less expensive than shopping at the resort. You can bargain for items that you may want to purchase.

All the shops along the strip are owned by outsiders, selling Jamaican souvenirs. I prefer to buy local fro the islanders!

Area defines beach vibe of MOBAY. If you have been or are not interested in drinking you may want to find other shopping and/or beach venues. Hip Strip along with nearby craft markets is pure Jamaica. Travelers wanting less Jamaica and more American may choose one of the inclusives for beach time and one of the upscale shopping areas for... More

We took a tour down to the hip strip. It was fun. You can start at Margaritaville and work your way down the strip. Lots of deals and of course you can barter for everything. Or you can stay and play at Margaritaville, they have a slide from the second floor down to the ocean with trampolines and fun things... More

These shops are true tourist traps! They will have one price on the item...when you enter the store they will tell you there's a discount. Even with the discount, the items are WAY over priced. Bargain, bargain, bargain with them! If they won't go down on the price move on to the next shop. They all carry the same merchandise.... More
