Nice trek to the third fall, with a fantastic swim and free water massage
Jul 2020 • Family
We parked the car at the end of the Carbet road where the trail to the third fall starts. Trekking with a 9yr and a 4yr-old kid took about an hour, but could have been done in say half an hour if we'd been adults alone.
The trek through the tropical forest was very nice. Forget the slippers and opt for good walking shoes.
The third fall is the lowest, but is well worth the visit, as the flow is substantial and falls straight down in the pool which gives free water massage for those who are courageous enough to cross the pond and get hundreds of liters of water poured down per second on top of you.
I continued the trek with my 9yr-old for the second fall but turned around appx half-way since my kid was tired (and he wanted to go back to the inn where a well-chrorinated pool was waiting... Kids...)
All in all, it's a great way to spend half a day, and don't forget your picnic.

Very impressive waterfall amidst the jungle forest
Jan 2020
This is a very tall falls and a picturesque setting. Getting there is a feat due to the uneven and slippery stone walkways. Some steps but not overly arduous. The viewing is limited to the small platform area so not possible to get different angles of the falls.

Exciting raint forest adventure
Jan 2020
A very nice place to be. Going through the rain forest. Take a rain coat with you. Not too far from the parking lot. If you have the time you can go up to the second fall.

Walk

The nature was beautiful but some signs might be a little bit optimistic about the duration of the walk

Nature at it's purest
Dec 2019 • Friends
The walk is not very difficult but prepare yourself for a bit of struggle especially if it rains. I really enjoyed a short but awesome rope climb as one of the steps. Making it to the first waterfall is a must, amazing views.

There were only two Carbet Falls Carbet Falls 1 and 2
Feb 2019
For 10$ we could go see the the two falls. The others were under repair.

The walk was great. Sometimes we were walking on the boardwalk and other times we used the wooden stairs.

We could see nature in its best.

The second waterfall was the most attractive!

We had fun and we enjoyed what we could see@

Worthwhile to see

We liked the hike as much as the falls
Feb 2019
We enjoyed the hike back to the falls, probably more than the falls themselves. The tropical grown and enormous plants are pretty amazing. The drive back is steep and seems to go forever, but just keep going.

Great spot
Apr 2019 • Friends
It's a must! Unfortunately, 2 out of the three falls were closed due to potential danger (April 2019).

Pure Nature
Apr 2019 • Family
We were fascinated by the pure nature in this place. Don't expect tourist traps, but let yourself plunge into nature. The sounds of birds, the beautiful vegetation, the lagoon, and the waterfall views. It's free entrance. You have (clean) toilets up there.

Not all that great
Mar 2019
Parking was a problem. We ended up walking about 1/2 mile to the visitors center. After paying the entry fee (2.50 euro) walk up to a viewing area. Great view down to the ocean and a little walk back towards the rainforest you have a nice view of 2 of the falls. Understand that this is really your best view. The hike is uneventful a bit boring. We did see a lizard!! The view and the end of your hike is of the second waterfall. You really don’t get that close and swimming is forbidden. Oh and we did see a mongoose on the 1/2 mile walk back to the car so that was something. The waterfalls are amazing, I just don’t think the time invested in the hike was worth it. Use that time to enjoy the beach and swim in the ocean.
