Although this is a very busy place on a weekend the hike was pleasant and most were courteous to share the narrow path. I would call it a rubbly walk more than a hike, no steep steps or climbing that required hands assistance. Very nice scenery, the rock formations are very scenic, some signage explaining landmarks at the top of... More

despite being a popular tourist attraction, this beautiful overlook was not overly crowded when we visited (early afternoon on a weekday). awe-inspiring views and many great spots for photo-ops. there's also a couple vendors by the parking area for souvenirs and snacks/drinks. we got drinks at a place that literally had tables and chairs in the water, which was a... There is a reason why parking can be an issue (even though we went on a Sunday afternoon and got a spot fairly easily), the view is beautiful. Nice little hike and you could walk for a while if you want to. View of the Desirade island as well. to reward yourself you can get ice cream and more when... More

Ten minutes from Saint Francois a beautiful spot with panaramic views. Parking could be a problem as it gets quite busybut well worth a visit

Although parking was a challenge due to the popularity of this point, the rewards far exceed any parking issues. We have been to the Swiss Alps, the Tetons, atop Mt. Washington, the Canyonlands, the Outer Banks and the coast of Downcast Maine, but the natural wonder of Pointe des Chateaux is breathtaking. There are many vantage points along the shoreline... A delight to see the power of the ocean on the very eastern part of the island. The walk up to the cross aloud for a wonderful view. A must see.

Pointe des Chateaux is the very eastern tip of the island. We arrived in cloud-shrouded skies and a bit of a tropical rain but within minutes the skies had cleared, leaving breath-taking views. Kite-boarding was plentiful to watch along the lagoons. Well worth the trek up the hill to the cross.

There is a nice hike to the top of the cross that gives a great view of the water. However, even standing on the beach or on the rocks near the beach, the view is spectacular.

This was our first stop when we visited Guadeloupe and it was worth the 45 minute drive from Gosier! We actually decided to go a second time at the end of our trip. The rocky cost was gorgeous and the walk up to the point (where the cross was) was lovely and short with built in stairs. You could see... More

We visited la Pointe des Chateaux as part of some sightseeing of the island and it was very beautiful. It's essentially a point of the island for very good surfer (the corals is all over and the wave are at least 5ft tall) and very windy. It's also very touristic as it gets the big bus from the cruises. We... More
