Another popular spot to visit, but as with most, the further you wander, the less crowded it gets. Parking is located along the sides of the road leading up to Pointe des Chateaux, and the main viewpoint is just past the round-a-bout. There are several souvenir vendors and snack purveyors located here, too. Continue to the right, past the rocky... More

This location is extremely picturesque with a panoramic view from the summit. There's a nice little rocky shoreline and a short hike up the cliff to the overlook. Good for people of all ages, provided you wear good shoes. I was in flip flops, so it made things a bit harder, but it can be done.

Went to st François and pointe des chateaux as a family day trip. Stayed at pointe des chateaux for about 2 hours to check out the view. The view is just amazing. Probably a 20 minute hick to the top of the hill. Accessibility to probably anyone from any age. The parking area can be a bit crowded and you... More

Dramatic views of waves crashing into craggy coast. Also some good snorkeling on the north about a half mile or so before the parking at the end.

We visited mid morning during the week. We easily got a parking spot and enjoyed an hour or so hiking to the top and enjoying the view. Easy hike. Also enjoyed coconut sorbet that others on TA mentioned. Bottomline: worth a visit if you are in the general area, but wouldn't cross the Island or drive a couple of hours... More

Although this is a very busy place on a weekend the hike was pleasant and most were courteous to share the narrow path. I would call it a rubbly walk more than a hike, no steep steps or climbing that required hands assistance. Very nice scenery, the rock formations are very scenic, some signage explaining landmarks at the top of... More

despite being a popular tourist attraction, this beautiful overlook was not overly crowded when we visited (early afternoon on a weekday). awe-inspiring views and many great spots for photo-ops. there's also a couple vendors by the parking area for souvenirs and snacks/drinks. we got drinks at a place that literally had tables and chairs in the water, which was a... There is a reason why parking can be an issue (even though we went on a Sunday afternoon and got a spot fairly easily), the view is beautiful. Nice little hike and you could walk for a while if you want to. View of the Desirade island as well. to reward yourself you can get ice cream and more when... More

Ten minutes from Saint Francois a beautiful spot with panaramic views. Parking could be a problem as it gets quite busybut well worth a visit

Although parking was a challenge due to the popularity of this point, the rewards far exceed any parking issues. We have been to the Swiss Alps, the Tetons, atop Mt. Washington, the Canyonlands, the Outer Banks and the coast of Downcast Maine, but the natural wonder of Pointe des Chateaux is breathtaking. There are many vantage points along the shoreline...
