Mother Nature never ceases to amaze me. I could watch the waves crashing in through the volcanic rock formations for hours.

Point Des Chateaux is like Cannon Beach in Oregon, Mavericks area or Le Diamant off Martinique. Dramatic Rock outcroppings with wild surf.

Coming from Deshaies it was 1.5 hrs of not scenic driving to get there. Parking lot was crowded and in general it was touristy. The hike and view were cool, coconut sorbet was excellent, snack bar had reasonably priced food: fresh, local, handmade, and satisfying...More

loved the walk= not too hard even with young kids. SLippery rocks on top though- not a bad idea to wear sneakers if you have them. We stopped afterwards at Anse à la Gourde for a lovely swim though the current was very strong so...More

Absolutely a must-see while visiting Guadeloupe. This place is located at in the most Eastern part of Grande Terre. Amazing ocean viewpoints, beaches, rock formations and cliffs.

Lots of coaches but there is enough space for people to walk around a grab a quick selfie giving the impression of isolation. Looks like a nice walk to be had in the area if you have time. Linear though.

A spiritual experience. A nice walk up the hill not for faint of heart. Incredible stone steps. Popular but parking seems easy. Stop at the food truck on the way or get a nice snack there.

Stunning landscape...loads of parking, drinks and coco ice sold near the beach...but it was the views we came to look at. Not a strenuous climb either.

We went toward sunset and the colors were unbelievable. However, it meant a drive back in the dark (to Point a Pitre) which wasn't so fun. It would be much easier if you were only driving back to St Francois, or even Sainte... More
