Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A beautiful beach, crystal clear water, parking nearby, not a lot of algae but the municipality would benefit from cleaning and better maintaining its public beaches. Several homemade food truck restaurants all along the beach.
Quiet beach, pleasant to swim in and take the time to live and savor the present moment. Some sellers of local products: lingerie, crafts etc.

Visited February 23, 2024. Easy access and ample parking. Practical because located in the heart of St-François. So lots of life and many families with young children. The beach is overall quite narrow. It is possible to walk to the Manganao Hotel, approximately 1 km. There are better places on the island, including Bois-Jolan.

This beach is on the west side of town as you enter SF on the route nationale. The sand and the water are beautiful. This beach has three main sections depending what you are looking for: the first section (east end) is easily accessed right along the road but has limited parking and limited shade but decent swimming, the second section is the main beach with a very large parking lot and is usually quite busy but lots of shade and available food nearby and great swimming, the third section (west end) is much quieter and you access it by walking west from the main beach but the swimming here is limited and so is the shade.

We are a group of 4 retirees and two of us have some difficulty in moving.. After trying a number of beaches around St Francois we concluded that this beach is the best - easy to get into and out of the water, Small waves thanks to protection by the reef outside and the beach is sloping softy into the water which made it easy also for us. Nice places under the palmtrees and coffeshop nearby.

This is a lovely beach with a wide stretch of beach and down the further end of the beach there are places to get takeaway drinks and snacks! The sea is very clear but can be a bit choppy on times! The beach is very clean and there are trees that provide some shade and shelter! This beach is on the outskirts of Saint Francois towards St Anne.

The beach itself? Nah...there are plenty of better ones not too far away. For a few hours with minimal effort however. Why not....Especially enjoyable was ordering food from the little shack / van. Wonderful burgers, chicken and tuna sandwiches. Plus they even serve alcohol.

A nice beach, probably not the best, but beside the bigger restaurant there is a small hut serving a delicious meal of "catch of the day". Beautifully served grilled fish on a stone platter with fresh salad, tomatoes, cucumber and grilled platain bananas and an avocado slice or 2 (if you are lucky) at the price of 10 to 12 euros. Cannot get it better or cheaper! Added to the marvelous feeling of sitting with yr feet in the sand, looking out at the sea and having the breeze caressing yr unkempt hair.

The beach is clean and beautiful, and quite. We were at the end of the season, it was only a few people. The view is spectacular and no alge as on other beaches.
I recommend the place.

This beach is used by locals and tourists. I loved the diversity here and available food trucks and restaurants. Gentle waves make it nice for families.

Fairly nice beach in saint-francois. Lots of seaweed when we were there but still good for swimming. Not as nice as saint-anne but still a good option. Parking lot, restaurant, food trucks

Hi, can you tell me the name of your hotel? We would like to stay in St Francoise and be able to walk to Raisins Clair? Can you suggest locations that make that possible? Thank you.
Written 26 June 2018
Hi Jeanine:
I don’t have hotel suggestions since we stayed in an Airbnb near the marina. It is about 10mn drive. We wanted to stay in town because of all the restaurants and shops. There are Airbnb places right on the Raisins beach. Check out for example villa la playa les pieds dans l'eau and other places in the vicinity.
Hope this helps. Have fun!

Where can we buy beach chairs for the beaches?
Written 10 March 2017
Sorry, we did not need chairs at the beach, so, I am unsure. If I remember correctly, there is a small information booth in the parking lot just North of the beach. They might be able to help, or, just ask any of the vendors. Hope this helps.

Bonjour,
