A beautiful beach. Perfect sand. Could do with a few more sun bed options so you can spend a full day in comfort. Worth a visit

Spent an afternoon ( it was a bank holiday and Italian cruise ship was in) on the beach. Fabled for its beautiful sands and warm seas they were not wrong. It was beautiful and even on a busy day we still had room to enjoy some peace. Definitely a must see

Enjoyed the my Island of Spice stay on Grand Anse Beach while experiencing Grenadian island life. Great scenic view of the culture, great food and amazing weather!

The beach is amazing and was a really good experience. Its really beautiful and picturesque. Sadly, it was really over crowded. For an island that has really small population, the beach was full and that was partly thanks to the cruise ship that i arrived in.
Rented one of the beach chairs for $10 and enjoyed a great evening with my family.
You won't get a great sunset view as there are mountains covering the sunset, but this is one fo the best beaches closest to the cruise port to finish of the day tour and then return to the cruise.
It gets really hot in the afternoons and best to go after 3pm.

This is the nicest thing to do on the island. The beach is a long arch, clean sand, turquoise water. It looks across to St George’s and mountains. We rented chairs from a local vendor $10 us each chair). Located in front of umbrellas beach bar. You can go to the UBB to get beverages beer, frozen drinks, soda, water to take to beach. They have an outside bar but the host is very unpleasant. You can cross the parking lot to a small hut which is very friendly and offers bear and soda; no frozen drinks. If you need bathroom facilities go to UBB but you will need to buy something. One can walk to other end of beach to open market for spices and some local trinkets. Overall, this is a very good way to spend a day in Grenada.

Lovely beach with really warm water.
We took the water taxi across from the cruise port which cost $5 each way per person. It was a short ride.
Sadly it rained heavily but as you’re at the beach it didn’t really matter!
2 loungers and an umbrella was $25 and the walking bar servers were great - $8 for two coffees. We would have had cocktails if it wasn’t raining!!
We would return if we dock here again.

Very clean. Very clear, beautiful water. Enough sea life to make offshore snorkeling fun. Good restaurants and big enough for a nice long stroll.

I was staying on one of the resorts and it became a daily ritual to walk this gorgeous beach after breakfast. It is clean, beautiful and what makes it more wonderful is having locals to talk to...not going to lie I did do some bar hoping along the stretch as the cocktails are too good to pass up!

Sand white and clean, shallow water around. The water when I visited was nice and calm. Close buy to get some food or drinks. The small problem that there is no changing place.

Can anyone give me idea on the cost of a taxi from the cruise terminal please? Do they charge per person or per ride?
Steve M

A taxi ride from the cruise terminal or airport to Grand Anse beach is around EC$50 or US$25-30. The charge is per car, not per parrenger.
Fares are set by the local government and when cruise ships come in, there is an official despatcher on duty to whom you can turn for advice.

Has the seaweed issue affected Grand Anse? Anything expected over July / August?

When we travelled in April, there was no seaweed. The beach was gorgeous and surprisingly quiet. I recemmend looking up the cruise ship schedule and go to Grand Anse when a ship is NOT in port. It is beautiful. You'll love it.

Would you say to take your snorkel gear? Can't wait to see it!!

Yes!-take your snorkel gear! Grand anse does not have the best snorkeling in relation to other areas of Grenada, but the water is beautifully clear and aqua and it's fun to swim the length of the beach. In front of Savvy's there are artificial reefs to swim to. Then there is the statue park-not grand anse, but you can take a boat there from grand anse. Try snorkeling at Magazine beach-little rougher water but more to see.
