Hit Market Square on a Saturday for the most vendors and excitement. Locals are friendly and rarely too pushy. Fresh herbs, spices, and so much beautiful fruit you'll never want to go home again. A must-see experience in Grenada.

We visited on a Saturday- market day - and whilst there was nothing unpleasant about it, the visit wasn't really worthwhile. Nothing particularly interesting for sale and no point in buying the spices since we were returning to the USA which seems to be paranoid about bringing in vegetable produce. The fish market wasn't at all exceptional either. Another point... More

It's not best mid-wk during the Christmas break, Most of the stands were empty. However it's worth a visit for spices and tropical fruits. Parking is very difficult and it takes a very skilled driver to get around the market. It's best to take a taxi.

The smell of spice is in the air and traders are eager to do business. All sellers do offer pretty much the same products, I believe haggling is expected but the prices on my goods seemed bang on the money asked. There is one stall selling local fruit wines in hand decorated bottles, real unique gifts. Worth chatting to some... More

I walked to Market Square after visiting the Grenada National Museum and The House of Chocolate, both of which I enjoyed, and either I missed the actual markets that offered something special, or it was nothing special. I usually really enjoy meandering among the stalls, but I couldn't get away from this lackluster market fast enough.

Visited the market in grenada one lunch time, easily found a bite to eat and felt no pressure to buy from the spice stalls, which there were many. Worth a visit.

if you are in Grenada on a Saturday morning, the market square is the place to be. All of the growers are set up in the market stalls selling local home grown produce, and it's the place where everyone comes to shop for the weekend. It's a lively, loud, friendly, and vibrant town centre all packed into 100m by 100m,... More

The market square sells local produce which is fair cheaper than the imported fruit and veg in the supermarkets. And of course there are spice stalls wherever you look. The stall holders will chat to you while you browse, but I was not put under pressure to buy at any time. However, you can bargain without causing offence - especially... More

Interesting observation of the local flavour of Grenada, lots of action on a Saturday morning as the locals sit on sidewalk with their treasures for sale, alot of spices, fruit, veges. Be careful on wet days as surfaces a challenge to conquer...flat shoes a must! If you have time wander the fish market and gruesome abattoir...along the water quay. Very... More

Stalls are all very similar, you can haggle but not too much. People are very friendly and there are some hidden gems to be found. But all in all its much the same on most stalls.
