The beach is still in its natural state. No developments nearby. Has a horseshoe shape. Tan sand beach, clean water no seaweed not rocks. The day we went it had been raining heavily the night before, so waves were kinda rough The beach is definitely a 10, however did not give it 5 stars due to die Dirt road the... More

This was a really nice beach in Samana. There are beach chairs available for a very nominal price, at least two places that serve food and drinks (try a coco loco and the pescado frito - but know that this will take about 1 hour to prepare). There are also a couple of tents selling knick knacks and souvenirs; we... More

I came here because they told me it was one of the best beaches in the Samana area. The Caribbean feel was there, and I was glad to go, but I was so disappointed on how filthy and how much garbage is left on the beach grounds. I was there couple of years ago though, and all I remember is... More

We stayed are El Portillo and took a day trip to this beach , Wow !!! What a feeling , underdeveloped by 30 years , you get this Polynesian native feeling . Turquoise waters , palm trees and peace , food shacks at extremeties . Some wave action or safe swimming in the bay portion. A must-see

3rd time to Rincon Beach, this time we took a taxi from La Galeras--David Taxista , well worth the drive, excellent scenery on trip to beach, about 1/2-3/4 hr from La Galeras , this is a pristine natural beach , basically undisturbed , turn left to end and river is beautiful to swim in , beach at far right is... We visited this beach as a part of our three beaches tour (which I higly recommend by Flora Tours. That I have reviewed separately) for an hour and a half. Water was beautiful, different shades of blues and turquoises...pure heaven! There were quite a lot of people around. The sun launchers were 5 UDS each, which we thought wasn't worth... More

It's a 45 min drive from Samana, most of the road is pavemented. The place is isolated but very pretty. Take water and food, as the local, simple restaurants may not be open (if it's, try the local food!)

The final 1km is still unpaved (fortunately) and requires some attention driving. Once you reach the beach, the right end portion is still lovely even if erosion has taken a toll. Unfortunately also here hundreds of beach chairs expect the tourists, leaving limited space for just sitting on the sand. The first portion was very dirty during our visit. Multiple... More

This was a planned trip and very promising at that. I saw pictures and loved the idea of a pristine, secluded beach. The beach is certainly charming, but since it was a weekend, it was very busy. Cars , people, loud music....just wasn't ready for that. Swimming was great and there were some restaurants and gift shops as well. Would... More

Travelled here from our all inclusive in Las Galeras. This was our 5th time to this beach and it never gets old. Stunning views - water is crystal clear and you pretty much have it to yourself. Tours come there, but they don't venture along the beach like we do. Lunch can be arranged at the restaurant - go tell... More
