This is a terrible unresponsive company lacking in normal safety standards. Do not go with this company. Scuba diving can be dangerous and you need to be confident that the company has good equipment and safety protocols. This one doesn't.

I did my open water diver certification with Scubaquatics. They charge the highest price I have seen for this course, while offering average level service. The dive instructor, Effrain was excellent and safe, he knew his material very well and took good care of me. My issue is with the organization of the 3 days I has with Scubaquatics. Everyday,... My Husband went on a dive in May 2015. First dive was a wreck. My Husband said he felt rushed, "hurry, hurry" no time to really look. Used their equipment which was okay other than his depth gage didn't work. Over all dive instructor & dive pretty good except felling a little rushed. Second trip May 2016. My Husband was... More

We got the Scubaquatic website from the Bahia Cayo Levantado to book our diving. We received no reply to our booking request after making our request via their website. I contacted the hotel again, and then got an email from Rachel. After initial emails there were no replies. I called the hotel and got the phone # of Scubaquatic’s regional... More

We feel completely scammed by the people here at Scubaquatic La Romana, Dominican Republic. First we came here yesterday to book our Advanced Open Water certification. We emailed their head office outlining the 5 dives that we wanted to do for our AOW dives: Deep, Navigation, Wreck, Cavern, and Night. You replied that this was no problem, that they would... More

After reading the reviews on here, I was slightly dubious about booking to do my advanced open water diver course here, however as I was staying on Cayo Levantado and didn't really want to leave the island, I decided to take the plunge after speaking to Rachel on the island. She reassured me that they had new instructors recently and... More

Scubaquatic has two locations. One is at Gran Bahia Principe Cayo Leventado and the second at Gran Bahia Principe Cayacoa. We booked a day trip to the beach at Cayo Leventado (Bacardi Island) through the Cayacoa location. The cost was $20/pp USD. We met at 9:00 am, given our life jackets, and were loaded into a boat with a couple... More

Don't book with this company and expect any flexiblity in terms of cancellations. $110 dollars down the drain even though we called and spoke to a manager well before the time of the excursion. The cancellation policy was never fully explained at time of purchase and receipt only stated that refunds could be given if their equipment failed, which is... More

Booked 6 dives, 3 days. First 4 dives: very little in the way of safety checks, questions around when was last time you dived etc, strange considering all divers were PADI, but holiday divers. Visibility ok but not great, plenty of Lion fish, no coral, rays, sharks or turtles. Dive boat is open, very small and no offer of as... More
