5 of us played this course in late May. We were not guests of the hotel, so green fees were $110 and clubs were $40. Overall it’s a very nice course and was in exceptional condition. While not overly long, wasteland and water make it...More

Well stayed at the Barcelo Bavaro Palace, waiting on an incident that occurred at the hotel in order to make a formal review. Anyway the course is awesome very well kept and the greens are meticulously kept, the 9 green it's a hard one and...More

The course is in good shape. It's a challenging one with fairly narrow fairways, a lot of sand bunkers and water hazards. Rusty or novice golfers will find this course very difficult. The greens were small and challenging as well. The marshals are on top...More

This golf course is a true test of your game that requires all the shots. I don't think that all in my group will agree with me but I think it's a spectacular layout. The reason for the poor rating is due to the friendly...More

Played Barceló Lakes twice. Golf is 'included' with your package, but you have to pay $75 EACH for the cart. You're on holidays and golfing in Feb., but it still feels like price gouging. Rentals were $35., for older, decent shape, Callaway (X3) clubs. Enjoyed...More

I was part of a group of four recreational golfers that broke into two teams to play best ball. We didn't bring any of our own equipment with us, rather we rented clubs. They were a reasonable assortment of Callways, a matched set, a total...More

I had free green fees but the cart fees of US$50 is more than what I normally pay for a round of golf with cart. Rider (non-golfer) rate is US$45 officially told via phone call. But my wife managed to ride along for 9 holes...More

Beautiful course, very well maintained and challenging. We rented clubs, which were better than the set I own and were in perfect condition. Had a blast!

Sounds as though your on the adult end of the resort. Get on the trolley/shuttle. It stops at the main/family resort and then makes its way to the golf course. It also takes you back.

Do they have a beverage/snack cart on the course? If so how often do they come around, do they have alcohol/ beer or just water and is there an extra charge for this? Are caddies mandatory? Some places we have been to before add extra charges if you don't have a collared shirt and closed toed shoes. Do they nickle and dime you for stuff here? Thanks
