We walked here from Bayahibe. I had been told a guide was mandatory, but when we started, we didn't see anybody. It's a short hike buts little muddy. The maps make it very clear where you are. If you want to see the caves, you really need a bright flashlight. Ours didn't really do enough for us. On the way... More

One of the most beautiful places I have ever been. $5 per person to get in, but well worth it, we cancelled the azul hoyo eco tour in PC and did this instead, WELL WORTH IT! The water was SOOOO clear probably 50' to the bottom and can see all the way down to the bottom,. I don't know how... More

We decided to skip the tours and drive to padre nuestros. Once there we followed the trail and arrived at cueva Chico. We had carried a small torch. We got into the cave and it was beautiful.. We jumped into the clear water and swam. It was so peaceful. We could hear bats but they didn't bother us. It is... More

we got to la romana in a cruise ship and decide to adventure on our own to the padre nuestro caves so we walk like 10 minutes from the port to the bus station across the bridge, pay $2 per person one way, then travel like 25 minutes to bayahibe on a little bus that on american standard is for... I really liked the location - easy to get there by a public transport, both from Dominicus and Bayahibe. Very nice for a walk with kids, as the trail is clearly marked. Cactus forest is fascinating and views are great. The cave with water is very cool, especially at the end of the trail in a hot day. There is... More

After a hot 10 minute walk in a true Caribbean forest, you come down to a cave in the middle of nowhere. After a 2 min, careful, descent you get to a crystal clear pool of fresh water. What a sight. And what a swim. The pool is deep, wide and you never feel intimidated by the darkness. It's a... More

We happened to stumble on to this place by the recommendation of our hotel-Gregorio at Cadaques in Bayahibe. Our afternoon plans fell apart. We were looking for something to do and he suggested this park. Lidia the tour guide happened to stay after. She was on her way out. It is a very nice tour of the area and she... More

I would like to share with all of you an awe-inspiring experience I recently had in one of many travels. This year I decided to go back to Dominicus in the Eastern coastline of the Dominican Republic (close to the majestic city of La Romana), and, again, did not regret that decision. On this trip I decided to visit Padre... More
