Playa Minitas is really beautiful. I it is very peaceful and relaxing. It is located in Casa de Campo and is never crowded, you get towel service and they have the restaurant and bar right on the beach.

There is a saying tha goes "If it works, why fix it?"...In this case it was not a matter of reparation, well maybe after the fall storms that went close to DR, this time the great ambiance of Minitas Beach has been upgraded. Its reception...More

The white sand, lounge chairs, and waiters selling cocktails are right out of a brochure. There’s a breakwater that keeps the swimming area calm, but the water didn’t look especially clean (murky with foam). Instead I headed for the beautiful large pool, great for swimming...More

I've been coming to Casa de Campo for almost two decades and Minitas Beach has been steadily getting better every year. The latest improvements include a brand new beach-side pool and lounge area and a new bar and food truck. The waitstaff is friendly, although...More

Beautiful setting and fun vibe. The menu was diverse and even our picky kids loved it. The poolside menu was great too for lunch!

Downsides: Not the nicest beach in La Romana area, you have many rocks at the sea’s bottom. No Long Beach to walk, Minitas is rather small. Upsides: transparent water, very clean, no tides, no large waves so you can chill out at the shore or...More

The beach was really good and the service excellent. You can enjoy a wonderful time with family in this area and if you’re patient find some fish around the area (this means clean area). The security is very good and your kids are safe here.

Minitas beach is beautiful! Perfect weather during our trip. There is even a restaurant near the beach that we ventured to for lunch. The beach is easily accessible by golf cart.

We spent the week here. Every morning we came to swim and snorkel. Our kids (2 and 5) loved it. They could stand in the water pretty far out. It was never too crowded even on the weekends. Never any trouble finding chairs (10 am,...More

I don't know for sure, but I don't think so. It's barely walking distance within the resort and if my memory is correct, I think the port is a few miles up the shore.
