Ok so paid $99 each through Thomas cook rep at gran bahia principe bavaro. Was really looking forward to this trip after reading about it. We were picked up from hotel approx 0820. We were taken to a local shop to buy gifts and sample cigars and cigar making. we were told its half the price of hotel prices but... More

Done this in June 2013 quite good though expensive and to many sales pitches throughout the day. Wasn't a bad day out but wasn't great either.

We did the jeep safari in aug 2011 and were unfortunate to be caught in horrendous weather. It was the build up to the hurricane and thomas cook still sent us on the trip. It was freezing and the heavy rain blew right into the truck. The jeep ride was bumpy to say the least and it set off my... More

My reviews are on both the puerto plata monster truck and the punta Cana one. The first time we did the monster truck was back in punta Cana in 2003 , was a fascinating a bit emotional day but brilliant , the tour guide was great , kept us well watered. We loved it that much that the following year... More

What an experience, we had jesus as our guide. The sights of the country and the explanation of our trip was excellent. The drink was free flowing and the food stop was well organised with lots on offer. We even had a swim in the river. These big trucks going through the river was fun. This trip is a must... More

We, as a family, were all looking forward to the monster truck "Safari" but could not be more disappointed. I'm upset I have to rate this 1 star! The instant we got on the truck we were fleeced left, right and center. Before we'd even set off we were guilt tripped into buying 3 hats at £12 each! Which the... More

So we had a traveller with us who didnt feel they could do the entire day, so we were able to book a half day adventurfe for $75 per person. Lots to see, this is something you MUST do. There is also another company called Bavaro Runners which apparently offers a similar tour. Lots of culture shock for those who... More

On march 9th 2011 myself and 9 others went on the Mega Trucks day trip out of Puerto Plata at the Riu Bachata Resort. We paid $81 each for a full day trip. We all were very pleased with the service and safety. The places we visited were all what we hope they would be and more! You really get... More
