We booked this trip months in advance, provided our contact info in Rio San Juan, and we thought it was a go. Called to confirm and told to be in hotel lobby at Bahia San Juan at 6:45 am which we did. We sat there for at least an hour before we tried calling to see why they are late.... More

We pre-booked the mega truck adventure via Thomson holidays and joined the trip on Tuesday 19th July 2016. We were looking forward to seeing the 'real' Dominican Republic, off the beaten track and were not disappointed. We tasted coffee and hot chocolate, learnt how it is made and visited a local school too. The mega truck adventure is not for... More

Done this trip while on my cruise. Monster truck took us through some local villages before stopping at a guy making cigars and also stopping for some locally made cheese. Tour finished off at a beach resort for a buffet lunch.

We are extremely disappointed and upset with Jones Truck Safari- we arranged an excursion with the group and paid for it 3 days ago with cash on the beach in front of the Wyndham V Heavens in Puerto Plata. We awoke early this morning and went to wait for the pickup which was supposed to come at 745 am. We... More

Visited the schools & homes of the local people who were most gracious to welcome us. Saddened by the poor living conditions, but the people are very happy.....they don't miss what they never had.
