Warning: The water is FREAKING COLD!!! Okay, now that's out of the way...this is one of the features of the Jeep Safari trips that are advertised in all the major resorts of the Playa Dorada complex. I have no experience aside from coming here with those safari trips, but this is certain to be a highlight of your visit to... More

We recently did 12 of the 27 waterfalls. When researching the activities in Amber Cove we discovered these falls and after reading the reviews decided this would be our activity for the day. The cruise ship was offering the tour for $95 a person however we had read that the falls are a park and that the admittance varied from... More

Absolutely awesome trip! We did the 12 falls as part of the extreme mega adventure. We all brought our own sea shoes with us, although they do provide them, as you're constantly walking on rocky terrain. The hike up to the falls was exhausting, however the guides stopped us at several points to have a breather and something to drink.... More

We did the Damajaqua Cascades (12 of them) from Puerto Plata with Adventure Runners. Our driver was Manuel (He was awesome and safe with all the crazy drivers in the Dominican). Manuel helped serve us drinks while we had lunch after the tour as well :) Jose was our tour guide. Full of fun and energy. They make sure you're... More

This is one of the top 3 experiences I've had in my life! As others have stated, it is best to bring an athletic pair of shoes you do not mind getting wet. A buddy wore regular water shoes and regretted every step due to the rocky terrain throughout the excursion. Bring cash to tip guides as they barely receive... More

A great adventure and way to spend an afternoon! Went with my son (16 yr old) and daughter (13 yr old). We loved it! Be prepared to hike up hill for approximately 45 minutes to the top of the falls ... as long as that doesn't cause you pause, you will have a great time. Jumping off and sliding down... More

I booked the excursion that included going to the school. The waterfall excursion was awesome! Coolest thing I've done in a while! I do recommend wearing tennis shoes you don't care about or water shoes. The food was average, but then they provide alcohol. After the waterfalls, we got on the bus and drank the rest of it on the... More

Our young adult children came back glowing from this experience! They also said that it was good that my husband and I didn't go. It is a bit of a trek and the water falls are a lot of fun and some were very thrilling. We went with DSRR Bus rental - good choice on our part.

One of the best tours I've ever been on. Not for the faint of heart. A 45 min. walk up a mountain on a muddy, slippery, rocky path. Once up there the waterfall is absolutely spectacular. It winds through eroded rock, I felt like I was in the Costa Rica rainfall, had no idea D.R. was this beautiful. There is... More
