The Cable Car Puerto Plata is located on the Mountain "Isabel de Torres", south of the beautiful city of Puerto Plata. At the top of the mountain, above a fortress is the statue of "Christ the Redeemer" with open arms gives the welcome to visitors. Take your photo with Christ, he put his hand on the head! During the visit they will enjoy wonderful views of the ocean and city, as well as beautiful gardens, since the mountain has been declared a Scientific Reserve for the wide variety of animal and plant species are found in it. And if you keep your eyes peeled, you can discover hidden caves that lead to springs and streams that flow into the mountain! While in Puerto Plata, do not miss the cable car, with its exotic natural beauty and extensive National Park.

Not going to comment on the park at the top. On a nice day it's probably worth going for the right person. Also, the people at the bottom that are "guides" are not part of the price and, like almost everywhere else, they are looking...More

Great guide and easy fun tour. I'm scared of heights but it was totally worth it. IT was cloudy at the top, but i didn't mind; it just made out photos with the statue of Christ a bit hard to see. Overall worth it.

I went like 5 years ago and it was great. Hope you not afraid of heights. You have a great view of the city.

This was such a breathtaking adventure and the view was magnificent! The tide up the mountain shows you one of the three reasons this city has its name.

Absolutely stunning view. Totally worth doing if your in the area. Recommend going in the morning as the mountain seems to get fog in the afternoon so your view wouldn't be as good.

Depending if you would like to walk a while or not. As your time is limited, I'd say it will take about 2 hours from the starting point of the cable car, that is about 2 miles from the sea shore (malecon) - I guess you may... More
