A very nice monument and a lot of history. The statue is very high and in essence you will be too (2600 feet up the mountain)

Cable car journey was good. But the garden at the top is in need of... well some gardening!! The signposting isn’t very good, but we did have a nice walk, wherever we went!!

If you go to Puerto Plata, you should go to Mount Isabel. Take a taxi from your hotel, and go on the cable car and see the statute, Christ the redeemer, there are only 2 in the world.

As the title says it's the same place where the cable car takes you but you can get there by bike, car or taxi if you don't want to use the cable car

Beautiful gardens and the walk to the lagoon and bridge should not be missed. You can see for miles in many of the beautiful vantage points. Hold on to you hat if the wind is blowing.
