I went with my grandma and two little brothers age 7 and 9. The building is beautiful! Our guide Tatiana was amazing her English is really good even the little boys mentioned how friendly she was. She was really happy and made the tour fun. There are a lot of interesting pieces to see at the museum. We really enjoyed our day here!

If youre a fan of rare stones, especially amber, this is one place you'll enjoy visiting. They give you a history lesson on how the stones are mined and how they came about, with a brief live demonstration of different types of formation. They tend to place alot of silver within the amber for jewellery, such as necklaces, bracelets, rings etc. Alot of nice features, plenty of amber shops around, alot of fake and real stones aswell. Overall definitely worth a visit. Cheers.

This place was under construction when I went but still was able to get the tour. Very interesting information about amber and where its located in DR. The young lady who did the tour was very knowledgeable and kind. Definitely worth the visit if you want to know about dominican history and one of its resources.
