This cathedral has a long history, and is famous for a number of reasons. It is located on Calle El Conde pedestrian street. A statue of Christopher Columbus is placed here, as this location was the site where his remains were interred in 1542. The cathedral is a must see when

While every historical spot in the Colonial Zone costs something to go in, this one is really cheap. For less than 2 USD you get also a recorded guidetour. And the inside of the cathedral is much more beautiful than the outside. Really worth the money and the time.
