This is not an independent excursion. You will see this gate anyhow when visiting the Zona Colonial and Plaza Espana. You cannot miss it.

This is one of the major gates in the old wall that is still intact and worth a quick visit as you walk through the Colonial Area.

Be careful with the taxi and especially blue Toyota wan because it is a rip off. I recommend taxi on call and Millennium is fair one.

I entered the gate to the Zona Colonial. Be careful because you can easily stumble. Rocky road. Littered with trash around.

Part of the Fort System near Calle Las Damas and the Plaza Espana. Still can be entered to day if you wish from the main highway around the Colonial Zone Puerta de San Diego / Gate of St. James - Uphill from Highway

This gate is inside of the old military oupost. There was a fee of $10 to walk around the grounds. Go walk up to the top of tower to get the best view of the town!! There are local guides to walk around and explain...More
