I'm always interested in castles/fortress sites so I was looking forward to have a look at the Ozama Fort. The experience was quite disappointing. The only available building is the main block composed of the square tower plus some additions. No signs, no information, no...More

Very inexpensive but impressive as you discover how significant this fort was to the course of history. Hearing about how Sir France Drake conquered the Spanish fort for the English in the early 1500's is a great story.

This fortress is super cool to see but it is not like an American site. I would recommend reading up on its history before visiting--there are no informative signs or pictures or anything. Although it is very cool, old and scenic there is nothing there...More

This was a nice place, is not awesome but you can take great pictures from there to the ocean and Ozama river!

This is a real castle with many levels and rooms to explore. The view from the tower are wonderful. There are some old cannons on the ground. You can easily spend an hour or more, if you let your imagination think about how this must...More

This is a cool Spanish fort / castle located within the Colonial Zone. I was told this fort/castle was built in the 1500s! It was an amazing experience to just walk around the property because it's so old and historic.

We popped in, saw the place, moved on. If you use your imagination the fort is super interesting. In itself there is not much to see except a huge squat of grass and a small old building. The view from the tower and walls are...More

Cost like $1-2 to get in. Not a whole bunch to see but is still worth it. There also was a big building to the side which was closed so I can't help you with that. The bad part was looking over the wall into...More

I wish we had more time to walk inside the castle . This ancient fort and castle are nicely built with much the structure still remaining. It's a great piece of history and the place where the Spaniards tried to protect themselves from the forces...More
