this is one of the most beautiful places in dominica. very quiet and scenic...tranquil....occassionally you will find conch shells on the beach...which are good art pieces for decorating.... the name champagne says it all..the beauty is below the surface of the very clear water..where the warm water bubbles...and the corals and fish at the bottom is so beautiful....makes snorkeling so... Very rocky, hard to walk on beach to make it to a snorkeling spot. Water was not very clear that day, but still beautiful.

We went to Champagne Reef as part of a tour with Levi at Bumpiing. It was very rocky, hard to get in and was happy to have the help our guide. Merky / low visibility day, but still some cool things to see. Not the diversity of fish and coral as at other reefs, but the thermal bubbles were a... More

Nice snorkeling with interesting fish and the champagne bubbles! Snorkel towards the rocks at the end of the trail and look for a trench where the bubbles are coming up!

If you have the time, make the short trip down the trail to swim with the bubbles! You won't regret it.

Great place to snorkel - as well as coral and fish, you also get to see champagne bubbles (sulphur escaping from the earth's crust) - it is a very unusual sight to see (and hear - like listening to a bowl of Rice Krispies !). The people at the equipment hire were extremely helpful and gave us great directions and... More

They call it champagne beach, but there isn't a lot of sand! Mostly stones, a very small place, but once you're in water, the fun begins. Coloured fishes, corals, and airbubbles coming up from the ground, big, small, perlage like. You feel the tepid air on your body, and you think at the volcano that has to be somewhere

To hard to get in and out of the water. Had to walk on sharp rocks about 200 yards, then try to get in the water on a thin rubber mat. If you go, bring fins, gets very hard to swim, unless you are a good swimmer. My wife struggled and one person had to get oxygen when they got... More

I would have given this a 5 rating if it wasn't for the rocky beach to get into water. Although having said this, they do have a rubber ramp to help get people into the water. Lots of different and beautiful fish and the champagne reef with bubbles rising from ocean floor is very cool.

Not a lot of beach but good snorkeling on the reef. Could be a nice day trip to just relax and snorkel from the beach.
