Once onshore from your ship's docking position in the capital's port, this attraction is straight in front of you. A small entry fee to see a bit of this island's history.

Usd 3 to get in. Cute provincial hotel offering an insight to old Dominica and the Caribbean and Kalinago life. Has the feel of a museum of the past... but charming all the same. Check the painting of Queen Victoria in the stairwell and old colonial furniture. Will take 30 mins max.

This historic building and it's contents are in great need of some tender loving care by a curator of museums. If such a persons could only volunteer their time and knowledge, this could be a great place!!

We enjoyed the short climb of stairs to the museum and spent just under an hour. Well worth the $3 per person fee. Lots of history from British rule to now, interesting display of the volcanic activity, and some original furniture. The poor Victor phonograph needed to be restored. Too bad we weren't staying longer!

For a small admission fee of $3 you can learn a significant amount about the history of Dominica. There needs to be some upkeep of the artifacts because there will be nothing left in about 5 years based on some of their current condition. It is located directly across the street from the cruise ship exit, you cannot miss it.

A small but informative museum that was bypassed completely by the (largely American) cruise liner passengers. Cheap entry, and you should allow 45-60 minutes for your visit.

We had never heard of Dominica before our cruise ship stopped there, but it was my favorite stop. The Rosseau Museum is right across from the cruise port and was well worth the few dollars admission. It really told the story of the island and was both informative and humbling. Take the time to visit! My 17 year old daughter... More

We enjoyed the Roseau Museum. Very small but filled with enough information on Island History. Has old newspaper articles, artifacts, and is set in a location right near the market and waterfront.

This is a small museum, but if you study the material and photos on display you will definitely walk away with a good grasp of how Dominica has changed over the centuries, and why. Modest admission fee and very conveniently located right downtown.

Kinda small museum, but gives a lot of insight to Dominica. View from upstairs is nice. Centrally located.
