I would say most of the attractions and best stuff for tourists is in Punda which is the East side of Curaçao. Otrobanda is more for the locals. You wouldn't think it as there is a lot of tourist stuff near the cruise terminal, but once you get away from the water, there isn't much else for tourists and that's... More

Good finger food Options.Dutch food kiosk is amazing. Free parking. Beautiful views of the harbour. Lovely place to stroll with cool breezes. Go to the RIF fort where there are many gorgeous shops to peruse and u can sit and have a coffee at the fort.

Inside the thick stone fortifications from 1828 are restaurants, bars with evening entertainment, local shops and hi-end merchandizers like Little Switzerland, Cartier, Tiffany and so on. They are part of the Renaissance Mall which includes the Renaissance Resort and Casino. There is also a small museum about Curacao history. The whole complex is a short walk across the Queen Emma... Willemstad is divided into two parts, Punda and Otrobanda, Punda and "the other side" Otrobanda includes the cruise terminal, and the historic Rif Fort which is a large complex modernised to include a hotel, restaurants, shops, museum, apartments and landscaped gardens. It is an attractive and rather funky locations, fairly buzzing with life in the tourist season. It is fascinating to... More

We were staying at a hotel in this part of the Island and it was perfect. Right in the middle. Lots of restaurants, bars, shopping, movie theatres, has something for everyone :)

Otrobanda is vibrant and full of personality. Clothing shops are geared towards club attire but souvernir shops have cute little items as well. lots of casinos and restuarants. you eat iguanna sou right when you get off the bridge. Souvenirs to the left of the bridge have great little finds. Free ferry rides to the right of the bridge but... More

There are many stores that line the streets in Otrobanda. This neighborhood has a bit more 'edge' to it and is well worth the visit. We went during the day and there is much to see in addition to the stores for shopping. This area shows much of the local architecture and houses that were at the height of 'living'... More

This is a more residential part of Willemstad, compared to Punda. Otrobanda is scruffier, but there are many houses which have been restored. There are also a lot that need attention - or demolition! We enjoyed walking around both Punda and Otrobanda. Punda is more tourist oriented, but Otrobanda has a lot for the visitor too, if you are interested... More

Once this was the old dirty poor part from the city back in the 80,s but after construction this part off this city is getting more popular, less tourism more real curacao not with the bla bla tommy hilfiger shops etc, just walk through the small streets for music, feel the ambiance, smell, do visit this area.
