A nice set of exhibits but obviously only makes sense if you like philately

Really good display of postal history. It's tiny place but you could spend ages in there if you're into stamps.

You need to be into museums or postal objects to really enjoy a visit to this museum. It's not very big, but the owner/curator is very enthusiastic and loves to tell you all about his museum.

The lady who runs this little museum is really proud of her collection and makes sure all visitors see what's there. Good way to spend half an hour out of the heat.

This is not the Hermitage, le Louvre or the Smithsonian, it is a tiny building that is very old and it's a three room deal, but only $2 to enter so give it a chance before you just brush it off! I wouldn't spend more than 30 minutes here, but it's a nice way to spend that half an hour.... More

Apparently the PO closes mid-day which is when the cruise ships dock. This makes it difficult to send postcards. The Museum sells postage stamps. This is good to know. Actually, we stumbled onto this museum. Apparently there was a fire previously and it was closed and now it is open. The museum has a room that shows old stamps of... More

Didn't go to the postal Museum, but the postal service was idiotic. I wanted to send post cards, but none of the shops sell stamps. I had to go to the post office, take a number ( #72 ) serving number 52 and wait 45 minutes to buy 3 stamps. Dumb system!!

While a very interesting museum, it is clear, even to the casual observer, that the curator of this museum is more interested in philately than the history of the postal system. Still, an interesting museum, with some beautiful stamps.
