Swimming in the cave was amazing on a hot, humid day, The water is clear and refreshing. Be careful on the ladder climbing out of the water because the rungs are very small and its easy to slip.

An amazing place to visit. Very steep steps down. Beautiful and stunning place. Recommend not taking any valuables with you if you wish to swim as nowhere safe to leave anything. Difficult to get in and out of the water.

Nice experience going in the Cave. The place is wet and lots of stairs, is a good experience to see and take pictures.

Just get a taxi, ask to take you there, the driver waits till you are finished and will take you back to your hotel. No need to pay a tour

Cheap- unfortunately no. Those days are pretty much gone. Our Amerikan counterparts pretty much axed that. You mention Havana and day trip. Are you looking for both- or transportation for you "own" day trip?. If the latter... More

We also stayed in veradero so I would guess a bus tour would be the best bet
