Ladies must be covered (ie no shorts or tank tops). They gave me a cloth to wrap around my waist. There is a gent in the sidecourtyard, who you can pay 1 CUC to go up the tower. It's well worth it.

As with all things in Havana it is a neglected building that has suffered from no upkeep for years and looks hopeful to the future

You will love the church and all the other architecture of the buildings in this square....but be careful of the flowered dressed women who approach you and want to plant a kiss on your cheek.....they charge what a dinner costs.....just turn them away

This cathedral is in its own square in Habana Vieja, but we only found it on our last day after consulting a map, so it's not necessarily somewhere you will stumble upon. It's really worth a visit though- the cathedral itself is a stunning building, and you can get a drink in the square and watch the world go by.

This church is beautiful. You will be in awe of how such a magnificent building was created. Free to see and you can take pictures.

The only day I saw this church open was Sunday. Open or not, it's an architecturally beautiful building!

If you can, try to go on a Sunday in order to enjoy the religious artifacts inside. The streets surrounding the plaza are bustling with people, restaurants and shops; plan to spend an hour or two in order to explore this area fully. One of my favorite destinations in the city.

This was stunningly beautiful it gave such a sense of the religion and the wonderful architectural details enhanced the experience. Please remember this is a church and dress modestly.

We was just passing thru the cathedral on our way to do some shopping before we headed back to the states so we didnt get a chance to go in. This cathedral was BEAUTIFUl. SO SO MUCH character. You have to see this in person and bring your best camera.

Also known as La Catedral de La Virgen Maria de la Concepcion Immaculada de la Havana, this is one of 11 Roman Catholic cathedrals in Cuba. It is supposedly the only example of a Baroque facade with an asymmetrical feature: the right bell tower is wider than the left.
