This artisan's market is also known as the Mercado de la Artesania and is located on the waterfront. It offers much more variety than the shops at Calle Obispo and the kiosks are owned by the locals not the government. It is by far the...More

Great place to buy souvenirs. The vendors will negotiate. This is a 15 minute walk from the pier. We found some really cute gifts to bring home. I wouldn't buy cigars here. We checked several places out and the best place to buy cigars is...More

Located in a converted warehouse, the Almacenes San Jose can at first seem daunting, with row after row of artwork, tobacco paraphernalia, and other kitschy little items that have Cuba hand-painted upon the side. As others have noted, sellers are often fairly aggressive in their...More

This warehouse on the water is full of junk and trinkets, but also nice artwork. Lots of the painters are there displaying their work. They're priced around 20-60 cuc, so reasonable. Great souvenirs to bring home.

If you're looking for a piece to take home as a sourvenier, definitely visit this market! They sell lots of generic trinkets and t-shirts, but you can also find beautiful art painted by local cuban artists!

Our entire tour group loved visiting the market. There were fantastic deals on original art, and we love the paintings that we found. A lot of the sellers were selling the typical cheap things for tourists, but a little hunting will reveal some great deals...More

There is usually a taxi waiting in front of the pier where the cruises arrive, the most attractive places in Havana can be reached by taxi and that will not take long. You must be careful with the fare, it is important that... More
