The Mangrove Information Center is an excursion center. Visitors to the center learn about the mangroves, one of the most unknown and most endangered environments on our planet. The Mangrove Information Center offers guided kayak and solar boat tours through the beautiful mangrove forest of Lac Bay on Bonaire's western coastline.

Meet the enthusiastic and knowledgeable crew who will take you out on a guided tour by either kayak or solar boat. The center has single or double "sit-on-top" kayaks, easy to handle, especially for beginners. The solar boat has an electric-driven outboard so there's no noise and no pollution!

Wow! Relaxing, informative, and beautiful! Our guide was Kim, and she did a great job of explaining the mangrove and it's very important function in Bonaire, and showing us the beauty of it and Lac Bay on the guided tour. You will be so glad you did this tour! One word of caution, make sure you apply sunscreen right before... More

Probably the best tour yet! Amy was very friendly and took us on a great trip by kayak through the red mangroves then we snorkeled a bit before coming back. She was very informative and knowledgeable. A must!

My family of 3 took the one hour tour - 2 in one kayak, and me alone in another. Our guide explained things along the way, pointing out how the trees are able to live in salt water, and he also pointed out small jellyfish at one point. The pace was leisurely and not too exhausting (although it is a... More

We went on a afternoon snorkling and kayaking tour with our guide Luuk and one other person. I did the tour before but for my friend it was the first time. Luuk as a guide was new for me and what an amazing guy he is. The tour was fun, interesting and beautifull. Thanx lucky Luuk for an unforgettable afternoon.

The kayak trip through the mangroves was educational and not overly stressful for two 74-year-olds. We paddled across open water and through mangrove tunnels. Our guide, Lucky Luke, provided information with a humorous flare during the entire trip. The snorkeling portion along the one channel that joins the inner bay with the outer, was easy enough going with the current... More

This is a great activity for divers and non-divers alike on Bonaire. Takes about 20 minutes to get there from Kralendijk. Doesn't look like much initially, but Luke does a good briefing and takes you out to a beautiful system of mangroves on the island. It's a good learning experience about this fascinating experience and it's a good workout involving... More

Bonaire is truly the nature island of the ABC islands. By far the most beautiful island. We enjoyed the tour through the mangrove and the nature and animals we have seen. Extensive time is taken to explain everything. Really fantastic. #turtles #flamingos #baracudas #more

Our guide was great. The boats and equipment in good order and the trip was beautiful. From the mangroves you approach the sea and the water color is gorgeous. Guides are all very knowledgeable and love what they do.
