We attended a service at St. James and it was both welcoming and a warm example of the hospitality of Barbadian parishioners. While somewhat "old school" in presentation, it was also relaxed with a warm Caribbean flavor.

We visited the church one afternoon. A church on the site dates back to the 1620's and was open for us to walk around. Modern statuary, stained glass and mosaic works add to the ambience of the church and its grounds.

The oldest Anglican church on Barbados. A delightful little church in lovely grounds. Of particular note are the two wonderful stained glass windows, one very traditional and one much more modern.

Visited on a Friday morning so it was just a handful of us and we were able to enjoy the ambiance. The church is well maintained with the history in tact. Architecture is beautiful.
