It may have been due to the rough seas just before we visted, however the Beach seemed much smaller than thr Photo's. Or it could be clever photo work. Only bothered with quick walk on beach & than left.

This beach may not be for everyone. The public access will be difficult for anyone who is not sure on his/her feet. I can see families with small children and elderly having a very difficult time navigating the stone path-especially at high tide. The chairs...More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Crane and instantly relaxed and felt at home at this classy resort. The location is good, away from the action so quiet and relaxed but within striking distance of the many restaurants and beaches - providing you have...More

Beautiful beach and gorgeous food; what more can we ask for... Staff very attentive and the rooms are cleaned to perfection, however a little dated. Well worth a trip here for total luxury...

Such soft powdery sand. Couldn’t see all the seaweed that other reports have mentioned! Isn’t seaweed part and parcel of a beach. Anyway great beach, great breeze, couple of guys selling drinks passing by now and then. Loads of waves to jump about in or...More

The views are magnificent for picture taking and the sand is fine and soft. However there is w huge wash up of seaweed at this beach. The beaches on the west coast were calmer and without all the washed up seaweed.

Fantastic beach, non-guests can rent loungers and umbrellas, and eat at the Grove. Great waves, peaceful, good for families and couples alike. A real gem!

Spent a day here and the beach in itself was beautiful with little seaweed. However, The Crane don't seem to pay much attention to their environmental responsibilities and are happy to dispense very lightweight plastic cups, polystyrene containers, flimsy cutlery wrapped in plastic and small...More

Crane Beach, I'm sure, is beautiful when there is no seaweed. Unfortunately there was a lot of it the day we were there. So much so, they had a fellow in a small bulldozer go back and forth in an attempt to remove it! That...More

Nce beach but can be affected by waves and seaweed. Tons of it there when we visited although don't think that that is always the case, Lots of other nice beaches on the west coast of Barbados to explore if it is.

About half an hour by car or a couple of hours by bus with transfers and such. if you don't have a car you are probably better off arranging for a taxi with your hotel.
