This was my and my husband's third trip to the island and we're always looking for new things to do each time we come. We looked on Tripadvisor and found Fort Hamilton so we scooted on over. It is a super quick ride from the main street in Hamilton. There was no one there but us, not even staff. It was... More

This fort is situated at the eastern end of Hamilton Town and requires a short but hilly walk to reach it. The views over Hamilton and the middle part of the island makes it all worthwhile. The Fort its self has been well maintained and restored and has plenty of information boards.

It took awhile to get here and when we did, there was no one there. I was expecting it to be a little more of a destination than what it was. It was a slightly dull experience but the underground caves were interesting and the garden/moat was beautiful.

My husband and I loved exploring Fort Hamilton! Beautiful views of the city from the top, and the moat garden is great! So glad we decided to venture out and come here. One of the highlights of our trip!

We loved our is it to Fort Hamilton. The lower level, maybe formerly the moat, was lush and green offering a wide selection of trees, plants and flowers. We also experienced a number of birds and butterflies. The lower floor has a large tunnel system with cells and Windows looking out to the moat. Very enjoyable and interesting. Upper level... More

If you like history and are in Hamilton, this is a must-see! Just walk up King Street and you will see the walking path to the fort on your right. We just happened to be there on Monday, and we had heard about the Skirling Ceremony at noon, so we stuck around and were very entertained. Bagpipes in Bermuda--who knew!... More

We were there for Thanksgiving weekend. The weather was lovely - Spring-like. It was not crowded anywhere because you can't really swim so everything was very easy to see and at the Fort I think we saw 2 other people. So we really got to explore and enjoy it for ourselves, which was very cool. Lots of interesting nooks and... More

The views were good but the best bit is the underground stuff, it's like a creepy horror movie and lots of fun to explore and take weird photos. The tropical forest in the moat was also great to explore.

This spot is great for weddings, one of which I attended recently. It's also a perfect place for a take out lunch or for taking the children out to play.
