This is a beautiful unfinished Gothic Cathedral in historic St. George. It overlooks Tobacco bay. It is definitely worth a stop while in St. George

We walked up the hill from the main square and found the unfinished cathedral. It was gated and locked, so we couldn't go inside... but we had fun walking around the perimter and peeking in all the doors. Walk a little further, across an abandoned golf course, and you'll find yourself at the fort and the beautiful beach that lies... More

If you are heading to Tobacco Bay you will pass this church en route. Sadly at the present time access to the inside is gated off due to structural problems and had been deemed unsafe. If you stand at one end and hold your camera up, you should be able to take a decent picture of the inside. To me,... More

....you might as well walk to the unfinished Cathedral. You can not go inside the building as it isn't safe but you can walk around and look through window openings and gates. It would have been a beautiful Cathedral if finished I am sure of. Not worth going there for just that but if you're there anyways you might as... More

The Unfinished church is a must see while on the island of Bermuda. This historic church is full of rich history of the town of St. George a UNESCO site. I visit the grounds each time I am on t he island.

While you can't go into the unfinished cathedral, you can take pictures and look inside. It's worth stopping by if you're in St. George but don't expect to spend a lot of time there.

When you visit St Geeorge's make sure you stop by the unfinished church. It was planned as a replacement for St Peter's Church and construction was started in the 1870s. It was never completed for a variety of reasons including , infighting , financial problems and a damaging storm . It's a wonderful , mystical Gothic structure and the ruins... More

I was taking a different way back to Aunt Nea's inn when this unfinished cathedral showed up. I wonder why they did not finish it, or at least let someone buy it and build something else. It seems so empty and lost.

We walked up to the unfinished cathedral from St George's Club; a pleasant walk of about 15 mins or so. The cathedral itself can only be seen from the outside; it is in too dangerous a condition for people to be allowed inside. The history is interesting, but the place itself is difficult to get too excited about.

A very serene, beautiful unfinished piece of history. A short walk from the centre of St Georges. Lovely to take photos and read about why it was never finished, I am sure it would have been even more beautiful had it been.
