I went in February so it was very quiet and unfortunately the cafe was closed by the time I arrived (at 5 PM). The water was very blue and it was a beautiful location to watch the sunset. It seemed quiet shallow so I would return to go snorkeling. It's like having your own private bay with beach cafe. A... More

History with Ben Franklin and getting smuggling. Lovely sunset. We were two of just a handful of people there.

My now wife and I love this location. If you go over to the right side opposite of the beach you can swim out to a private island. They also have several small beaches you can swim to along the golf course. Now the course is 15 plus feet above you so as you relax and enjoy the sun you... More

Although we were the only people venturing here in early Feb, this was just a wonderful place to spend a day relaxing in the sun. The water was not warm ( unsurprising for Feb) but was crystal clear. The setting idyllic and I could imagine a really cool place to hang out during the hotter summer months.

We walked up the hill from St. George and back down to Tobacco Bay beach. It truly is a beautiful spot... but when we were there the little bar had a guy playing annoying loud music and the beach was crowded. Perhaps a cruise ship in port? We only spent an hour there before we decided to find somewhere a... More

This is a great beach with clear waters that is great for snorkeling and swimming for young children and adults with a great beach bar.

If you walk from St George's past the Unfinished Church towards Fort St Catherine's you'll discover Tobacco Beach . If you don't want to walk catch one of the St George’s Minibus Service’s vehicles. The bay is protected by Daliesque limestone rock formations and good for snorkeling with colourful tropical fish like parrotfish and sergeant majors. The calm, relatively shallow... More

My husband and I just returned from a week in Bermuda. One of our favorite memories of our trip was watching the sunset while sipping our first rum swizzle. This is the off-season, so we nearly had the place to ourselves. Our bartender, Gus, was a great ambassador of Bermudian friendliness, going above and beyond to add fun and information... More

We have seen this beach earlier in the year when it was full of activity. Nice bay with secluded white sand beach. Music and food and drink make it a happening place. In November it was still open but few people as swimming is really out of season. Beautiful place to visit, relax talk to the locals or tourists.

Tobacco Bay continues to be a stunning destination. Make an effort to catch a sunset here. For the first time in years facilities were open during low season with a bar and beach equipment for rent. Free wi-fi also available.
