This 19th century church is best known for its neo-Gothic architecture, including some beautiful stained glass windows.Sitting high on a hill in Smith’s Parish, St. Mark’s is one of the oldest and most beautiful Anglican churches in Bermuda. Island residents and visitors have worshiped on the site since the 1650s and continue to do so nearly 400 years later.St. Mark’s plays a key role in the spiritual life of Smith’s Parish. The beautiful bells of this historic Bermuda church call worshippers to Sunday morning service at 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.Sunday School, for ages 3 – 12, runs concurrently to the 10:30 a.m. service with the children joining the congregation toward the end of the service. On the second Sunday of every month all are in church for the Family Service. Our Youth Group meets every other Sunday from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.St. Mark’s further serves the community by performing baptisms, weddings and funerals. To the community it serves, St. Mark’s is more than just a church – it is a family and all are welcome. Whether you are a visitor to Bermuda or a resident, we invite you to join us for Sunday service. We hope to see you soon.

We went to spittal pond which was not that great and then walked along south road to st marks. The outside of the church is very impressive and there is an extensive cemetery across the road.

St. Mark's a beautiful building. There is also an amazing cemetery and slave burial ground behind it. You are able to take photos of everything in the church and there are also still services there, if you wish to participate. The docents are very knowledgeable!
