Ok so my boyfriend and I were divided on how we felt. Food looked good (we ate at our hotel), drinks were cheap and excellent. There were only 3 tables of crafts, they did have live music and dancers which was nice. You also get a Papimento lesson, which I loved. They tell you about the history of the island... More

We heard about this weekly festival and wanted to soak in some Caribbean culture. We caught a taxi van to the downtown area and another taxi van to San Nicolas. The local show did not disappoint. A variety show with dancing, comedy, participation from audience- followed by a small parade with drummers and people in colorful costumes. After the parade... More

My family and I visit the Bon Bini Festival a couple times a year. I enjoy the shows, the history, the local food that Belkis has to offer and also I go to support our local artisans. I always have a great time here.

We went o the Bon Bini Festival at the Fort Zoutman Museum last night. The reviews were mixed and we were somewaht undecided. However the experience was tremendous. We realized how passionate the locals are about their country. My wife always looks for the best (true) local food. The owner of Belkys Catering (733-6611) had Goat Soup, Turkey Stew over... More

The Bonbini festival show was so much fun to watch and participate in! It felt nice to be able to experience local culture! We also enjoyed the cheap Rum Punch!

we went to this festival 3 years ago and it was great, that is why we went back, it was poor at best. There dancers were all 10-13 year olds, they tried there best and maybe in a few years they will be great, the narrator also was not nearly as good as the first one. Wait another 3 years... More

The BONBINI shows offer a bit of cultural input into anyone's visit to Aruba and should be partaken of simply for that reason alone if not for the fact that they are also quite entertaining.

Disappointed in our visit. I try to get a glimpse of local culture wherever I visit and have visited local festivals all over the world. Upon arrival, there was a energetic drum circle playing outside the fort. They were pretty good and increased my expectations for the night. We arrived a few minutes early (about 6:45) and got in line... More

Attended the Bon Bini festival which is held on Tuesday evenings @ the Fort Zoutman Historical Museum located in the downtown area. The cost is $5 pp. When you enter there are vendors in a small alcove area with jewelry, ceramic goods, etc... There is also island food/drinks. The festival is a great way to learn about Aruba's culture and... More
