A FREE public beach just a couple minutes walk from the main gate of Verandah, and part of the Pineapple Resort. Great calm ocean turquoise blue water to enjoy.

One of our favourite beaches. Avoid the hotel on the left, and park yourself on the porch of one of the abandoned beach cabins at the far right of the beach. Calm stunningly clear water, protected from waves by the reef further out, with brilliant snorkelling. We saw so many fish, hermit crabs in conch shells the size of two of my hands, and several turtles, watch for their heads breaking the surface to breath, they are fairly easy to spot if you are patient, and can be approached if you don’t startle them…

We drove over here for a day to see how the snorkeling was. Really nice beach but the coral is pretty colorless like so many places are getting. A local beach vendor was on us as soon as we got out of our car (group of them in orange shirts) and we found out later he over-charged us for our beach chairs. Also told us we were good for all day but then came and picked them up at 4 PM. See Jennifer at Island Watersports if you go, she was helpful and charges the going rate of $20/day for chairs & umbrella.…

Extremely quiet beach with crystal waters. Pineapple hotel is at one end but still very quiet. Lots of space and great vistas. Calm waters bracketed by reef. Liked the Husband and wife couple running the Italian up the stairs. Don’t expect speedy service or to get the bill brought but it is great food and extremely large measures of spirits! We did get approached to buy marijuana despite having a baby but the guy just tutted at me and walked off grumbling when I said I wasn’t interested. …
