We came in August, which is in the low season, and even though most people at the beach were from the ship it was still pretty empty. We took a tour, and had lunch included in the price, plenty to eat and talk about on...More

Beautiful soft sandy beach, the colour of the water will amaze you, views of Monserratt in the distance. We hired a car, parked up on the side near the beach and went for a quick dip. Even the photos on here do not do it...More

An absolute perfect beach, lots of clean sand, sparkling clear water, not many tourists, in fact very quiet when we were there. Unfortunately we did not come equipped with snorkelling gear and being out of season there was no where to hire. People snorkelling a...More

We stayed at sandals and rented a car. This was best beach we found in island. Quiet. But so beautiful

We visited in the off season and Darkwood was one of our favorite beaches. It was very quiet - the bar/restaurant was closed for the season, so there were no amenities to speak of. However, there was a lot of wonderful shallow snorkeling, perfect for...More

This beach is amazing with the clearest water I found in antigua. In keeping with all the beaches on the west cost there is a small shelf of crushed shells that has accumulated which makes it impossible to get in and out of the water...More

Lovely beach with some reasonable snorkelling just off the beach - saw quite a lot of fish. Beach itself is lovely and when we visited, quiet. Gently shelving with few waves. Had lunch at the beach bar.

Absolutely beautiful beach. There was only 1 other person on the entire beach when we were there. Found lots of beautiful ocean polished sea glass. The water was so clear and blue. It was like a postcard.....only better because you're actually there. LOVED IT!

Hi, most of the hotels, including Curtain Bluff, take booking for the tennis courts from non-residents, you may pay more than in lest exclusive resorts!

I don't know! I only had a lunch and walk there. It was very low key outdoor place.

Jolly beach area is the part nearest St. John's that has snorkeling. TBH, dark wood beach isn't the best area for snorkeling around coral.
