The visitors center which was not here on my last visit is an enormous plus and benefit to those visiting the cemetery. You definitely want to go through the center before walking onward to the cemetery and overlooking Omaha Beach. I cannot urge enough to...More

With all respect to the activities that took place here, it's not at all what we expected. It's a resort area with no information or account of what happened. There are a couple of contemporary sculptures that serve as memorials of sorts, but as it...More

Fantastic beach and really surreal when you think about what took place over 70 years earlier. Kids had a paddle and with a silky sandy beach can easily make an afternoon of it here

We were visiting all of the Normandy landing beaches, and staying right by Omaha. It's a lovely beach for kids, or just for walking, or for swimming or horse riding.... And of course the history is fascinating and moving as well. A lovely place.
