Great working farm to visit - and so much more
Mar 2021 • Couples
my wife and I visited here for the day because we heard about it from another couple at the Hanging Bridges tour. We took a scooter here from La Fortuna (very doable, great time!) and took the Farm Tour. Our guide (Carlos) was helpful and passionate about this work and the farm. We had a great time, learned a lot and sampled all sorts of wild fruits and vegetables!

We had lunch there afterwards - so good!

There is so much more (chocolate tours, overnight accommodations) but we loved everything we did and hope to come back!

Bird watching
Feb 2020
this tour was scheduled early in the morning. I met with the tour guide, Roy, who had binoculars and a telescope for long distance viewing. He was very skilled in seeing and identifying all the birds we encountered. I enjoyed his in depth knowledge of the local birds.

Roy is incredibly informative and inspiring. Saw so many features of the farm and so many interesting plants. And Roy is a master at birdcalls.

Lucky to be here!
Mar 2019 • Solo
I spent my first 24 hrs in Costa Rica at Finca Luna Nueva Lodge and I feel soothed, nourished, and (after a cosmic cacao elixir) ecstatic. This is a place I am lucky to have had the chance to find and experience, even if for just a day. (Though I have a feeling I'll be back.)
I came by myself straight from the airport in a rental car. I'd been connected to the place because it used to supply the organic turmeric and ginger for New Chapter products, which is a line we carry at the natural foods co-op I work for. From the farm tour which was amazing, I learned they are no longer a production farm, they are now focusing mainly on eco-tourism (and doing a fine job) and land regeneration. It's a 350-acre parcel, home to more than half native forest and a regenerative agriculture system using biodynamic practices to cultivate all of our favorite foods and spices - cacao, banana, cinnamon, cardamom, clove, vanilla, turmeric, ginger to name JUST A FEW.
And as you can see... it's beautiful. And every staff onsite has been friendly, relaxed, knowledgeable, and engaged in their work and place of work.
HIGHLY recommend you check it out if you are visiting Costa Rica. But even more highly I recommend this place to movement facilitators, coaches, teachers and leaders for hosting your events.

Quite natural
Jul 2018 • Couples
I have wondered if it was possible to be in a natural environment, and how would it be. Here you have the chance to experience it, and it is not bad as I initially though, in fact very good, I strongly recommend the farm tour,it helps to appreciate the efforts done to keep the environment

Rainforest Mystery Tour @ Finca Luna Nueva
Mar 2018 • Couples
This tour explains both the history as well as the current activities of the farm but moreover it explains a lot about how the rainforest works and how this farm tries to work with nature. We had an excellent guide with an extremely extensive knowledge that he shared with great enthusiasm. Very educational.
