I really enjoyed my time there, swimming around with the sharks and rays was better than I expected. I didn't go out with a tour, a hired a small boat (very small) and motored out myself, that cost 7000Fr. I was able to stay as long as I wanted, although the sharks have learnt food is only available when the... More

Our resort's private boat dropped us off on the Motu one afternoon and we certainly enjoyed our time there. It's extremely private, lots of great snorkeling, with tons of black tipped reef sharks and sting rays that will swim right up to you. It's definitely a great place to hang out for the afternoon.

Park on the side of the road. Easy access. No facilities. Bring your own drinks & food. We saw families & couples here. Local & tourist.

A beautiful, palm lined beach with endless very shallow water. . There are many rays and black tipped reef sharks not very far off the shore. You can swim or kayak out to where the tour boats feed them a couple of times a day. It is wonderful to be caressed by a sting ray!

we rented bikes one day and stopped by here, local hangout. Not luxurious BUT beautiful and fun. Might be worth biking there one day and bringing lunch and people watching.

We rented a motor boat one day and went to the motu Tiahura. Our house owner told us that there is Coco Beach Café, but we need to book the restaurant in advance and to check when open. It mostly opened on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Sat, Sun for lunch only. We went on Wednesday in March. It was 3 of... More

Tiahura is a motu not far from Les Tipaniers. It is next to Fareone, and between the two motus is channel with great snorkeling. We kayaked over from Fenua Mata'i'oa (about 20-30 minutes) on two occasions and spent the morning and afternoon there. We pulled up the kayaks on the sandy west side of Tiahura past Coco Beach Restaurant, and... More

Then we spent some ours on this little island and they mad good cooking. I was then for two hours snorkeling... More

We rented kayaks at a stand on the beach at Tipanies and traveled to both Motu's. Coco Beach restaurant is located on the larger Motu, however, they were not open when we were there. The rest of it was primarily overrun with boat excursion tours who had staked claims on different parts of the motu's to entertain paying customers. Hence,... More
