We had a lovely time at O'Vineyard. Joe and his wife are really lovely and friendly, and the afternoon and evening were very entertaining and enjoyable. The wine was really, really good - better than I expected. The appetizers were delicious, but I thought the main course was just okay. The menu seemed a little uncohesive. Overall a very nice... 11 of us were boating on the canal du midi for a special birthday celebration and I booked the wine and dine celebration at Ovineyards on the Friday evening. First of all in spite of my numerous emails to triple check arrangements to make sure nothing went wrong on the special night, Liz remained very patient and flexible. The place... More

I would start to say that Joe and his wife are very nice and welcoming. The tour is basic and is nice. Filled with personal stories and some details but not as informative as expected. On arrival we got to drink wine but we were 7 people that 4 drink wine and 3 don't we were offered water- that was... More

Made a reservation by internet because it looked nice and I was not wrong! Joe and Liz are excellent people and hosts, the room was excellent, the tour outstanding, the food very appealing, the ambience unique. Felt as if at home. Why fusion, well, Joe is from Boston, Liz is originally from Vietnam, the place is in Carcassonne and the... More

I would probably give this three stars, but I wanted your attention to the details. This is not a French vineyard or restaurant. It is owned and operated by Joe, a former home builder in the USA, and the food is prepared by his wife, Liz, a Vietnamese born, French raised, near Australia. The wine is good, not great. The... We reserved spots in one of O'Vineyards' vineyard/wine-making tours with a gourmet-multi-course dinner to follow. The experience was excellent. We really enjoyed ourselves and the meal was one of the best we had in our two weeks in France. The owners speaks excellent English. Joe came to French wine-making from Boston via Miami and New Orleans. His wife loves cooking... More

We had an informative tour of the vineyards with several other couples. Our host Joe was affable and approachable, discussing his harvesting and production techniques. Dinner, however, was a major disappointment. Admittedly, we are high end travelers generally eating at Michelin starred restaurants which might color our viewpoint, but the food was poor by virtually any standard. This in and... More

Our visit to O'Vinyards was absolutely fantastic. My husband and I were in Carcassonne celebrating our 44th Wedding Anniversary and we were looking for something out of the ordinary to do on the actual date. Fortunately we found Joe and Liz's website and booked on line. We had a superb afternoon/evening with 4 great Americans who were also on the... More

This was and excellent winery and vineyard tour. Our host Joe did a great job explaining the history of the vineyard purchased in 2004 from a cooperative with 2005 its first vintage. His explanation of his grape growing and harvesting and processing was most interesting. Highly recommended.
