This is the type of places that makes a such special city as Lisabon even more special.

I would like to thank Tatiana for all her advices, explanations and patience...specially when after asking and looking for the red silk scarves I finally change my mind and bought a beatiful safron scarf lined on red.

Next time I will back to Lisabon I will take more time to visit this amazing shop; it deserves it and the project it represents

beautiful scarfs

samesame is a very special shop with an inspiring entrepreneur, who really understands his scarfs, colours and materials. this is the place to find a shining, soft, beautiful companion to bring the sparkle out in you. I chose the yellow/orange silk scarf, that changes colour depending on the sunlight and the light blue one for my mum, to bring out the nobless and fragility that underline her dignity in my view. Thank you Nuno, for your consultation, it was a pleasure!

Fabric treasures and lovely jewelry

We where just climbing the streets when this small but cosy shop suddenly was there in front of us. Inside, the young and friendly owner explained us all about the idea behind Same Same and where all the products came from. On the crisp white walls with black and white photography, we stared at colourfull, silk scarfs. All handmade that is. In the middle of the shop a table filled with beautiful silver bangles, earrings, rings anything. The owner travelled a couple of months every year to visit the people making all these lovely items. We had a nice talk with nice and relaxed people and I'm very happy with my silk scarf and great earrings.

One of a Kind Treasures

I happened upon this place after the most fortuitous meeting with an amazing local, who brought me to Same Same. The shop carries real treasures from all over the world, organic and hand-made, jewelry, carves and more. These are true treasures that make a tremendous gift for anyone, including oneself.
I picked up an incredibly beautiful organic silk scarf, unfortunately I didn’t have much more cash with me or I would have bought at least one or two more for friends. They don’t take credit cards, so come cash in hand.
The proprietor is a young man, who’s friendly with unparallel kindness and generosity of spirit. He’ll be happy to tell you all about his merchandise, which he personally selects by traveling and meeting with the very individuals who make these beautiful things, or he’ll just let you browse w/out pressure to buy.
You won’t be sorry if you make your way here and he’ll be happy to make suggestion on anything local that you might be curious about.
The entire area is filled with great energy, wonderful little shops and restaurants and hasn’t yet been taken over by tourists (at least not in a bad, overwhelming way). Go, look, enjoy, buy. To prevent having regrets, I suggest buying one more than you think you want or need, you can always make it a special gift that’ll be great for any occasion. Can’t wait to go back to Lisbon and back to Same Same.
