Friendly and well-maintained, right on Pocomoonshine Lake, The Hideaway is a real bargain vacation paradise. Leave all your stuff at home; everything you will need is supplied by th management.

This lake is so serene, its the idealistic Maine vacation! Enjoy your time walking through nature or canoeing or kayaking on the lake is so peaceful and beautiful. This lake is one of the true treasures of Eastern Maine!

the owner is a hoot, selection of accomodation types (outhouse to indoor plulmbing), fishing, swimming and beautiful scenery. You'll love this place to be in that picture you see or great fishing and other local sights.

I have fished this lake a few times myself. Yes I have also come across a few water snakes. It’s a shallow lake and a nice place for snakes to live.
