Travelled along to Sacedon to see the lakes which looked an amazing complex on the map. The reality is quite a shock, with large areas of Rio Seco and the small amount of water left looking like a dribb;e in the bottom of a bath. Lots of dusty boats in the boatyards! Sad.....

The Spanish government has decided to divert the river close to its origin to Murcia. From river Tajo to river Segura. The lake has shrunken by half and will dry up if more water are diverted to dry Murcia instead of taking the water from catalunya or the Basque Country. Easier to take from the few (1700 people) and the... More

Please do not bother with the river trip they provide as part of their City Bus Tour. They took us along the river past the port authority and all you could see were cargo containers! After about 20 mins I went downstairs to the bar and played Angry Birds (I'm 51!) because it was so awful. Luckily after an hour... More

Hard not to see this from many places in Lisbon. Nice scenery for photographers. You must see while in Lisbon.

Lisbon is situated over the Taugus River but somehow you do not feel it. In Porto you feel it much, much more. There are a few attractions over the river, but somehow there is not much to do and as the river is wide, you do not feel the nature of bridges bringing the town together. Actually most of the... Another sight I have visited many times and never tire of. Take a river cruise to get the best of seeing Lisbon from the river.

There are not many attractions around. You could visit once. Any tour bus takes you along the river banks.

The Taugus River looks very wide and many times you do not know if it is a river or the sea. It is a vey long river because it originates in Spain.
