I visited this historic sight on Easter, it was good to see families enjoying themselves. Some were swimming or just laying around on the beach. Others were grilling, they had that food smelling good. My husband and I toured the beach reading the information on Mr R Johnson whom the park is named after. This place is good for family... More

This is about a 15-mile drive between Pensacola Beach and Navarre, FL. The speed limit is 15-25 miles per hour and is heavily policed because this is a nesting area. Since it is a protected area, there are no condos, houses, etc. On one side of the road is the bay and the other side is the gulf. The bay... More

This is our second trip to Gulf Islands National Seashore. It is definitely a great place to go and enjoy a peaceful time at the beach if you're looking to stay away from the crowds. We will be back!

Love the slow pace of a visit out to see this island in the sea. Nice beaches and a neat campground along with lots of history and places to explore.

Undeveloped beaches, white sand, and clean.....this was my favorite part of the whole trip. I could have spent all day, every day coming here. Bike paths and walking paths are available too in addition to campgrounds. This was some of my favorite camping I've ever done.

Regrettably we did not have much time so this was a fleeting visit for a couple of hours. Nonetheless it is one I will treasure for many years. We parked up by Fort Pickens and walked west around the point in a loop. The white sandy beach was a delight as were the clear blue waters teeming with fish. It... More

Our condo bordered this seashore and it was a beautiful sight! Miles of untouched sand and beaches. Lots of covered areas for eating.

Beautiful seashore but absolutely no dog access anywhere on it. Just ridiculous! Because our 4 legged travel companion was not welcomed ANYWHERE on the beach, we simply drove through and left. Get with it Florida. Many people travel with their pets. Set aside areas they are welcome!

We rented a three bedroom condo at the Caribbean Resort on Navarre Beach. It was our first time to the Florida panhandle and hopefully won't be our last. The beach is wide and beautiful with the softest whitest sand I have ever seen.

The seashore did not disappoint. The desolate beauty of an undeveloped barrier island stood in stark contrast to the developed portion of the island to the east. This is what all of Florida used to look like.
