The castle is worth a visit and there are wonderful views from up there. It's quite a steep walk up through the village to get there, the streets are cobbled so good walking shoes are essential. There are some welcoming hostelries on the way.

The best thing is the whole atmosphere of the river, village and castle combined. Castle itself is rather small, yet nice.

Yes - it is one of many castles in La Mancha, but the views are astonishing- you can see the whole canyon from there. The entrance is just €2, but watch out - it closes at 14:00.

The castle has been maintained in good condition, and is well worth a visit for an hour or so. Opening times vary, but it closes at 2pm, and re-opens later.
