I actually could not believe how many people were at the park today given that Chinese New Year is almost here and it was really cold and windy along the coast near Keelung in Northern Taiwan. It is a beautiful park full of wind sculpted rock formations that are very life like and beautiful. Perhaps the most famous and ionic... More

The entrance ticket is rather cheap. Beautiful sea view can be seen from the sight. The stones are remarkable, local tourist provide good explanation on the way the stones are formed. fossil of shell can be easily found on the floor. It is windy and relaxing to visit this place.

This place is rather interesting. It didn't cost much to go and does have some interesting rock formations. But it is a tourist attraction so expect crowds and get ready to dodge the selfie sticks!!!

When we arrived there, it was very cold already with strong wind, so we could see high waves around. There are so many strange shape rocks in the park, most famous one is the "Queens Head", we used about 30 mins queuing, unfortunately the pic taken by my friend is not so good. I really like much the rocks inside, even... More

Try to go early to avoid the bus full of tourists. We went on a rainy day and it was still worth visiting. The landscape is phenomenal!

Go to this place preferably on a weekday to avoid the large tourist crowds on a weekend (unless you like crowds), anyway this tip is prevalent for most other attractions in taiwan. The top part of the 'Queen head' has toppled over already due to years of tourists climbing the rock to take a photo without respecting the environment.

It's raining when we got there last December 13,2015. It's a nice place to visit and there's still a lot of people even though it's raining hard. We didn't go to the ocean park besides the Geopark because we don't have enough time. We hired a taxi from Keelung train station to Geopark that cost 500NT.
